active-citizen-9'Take Part Exeter' offers Active Learning for Active Citizenship in Exeter to encourage local people to 'take part' as active citizens.

The project is led by Exeter CVS in partnership with local:

  • City and County Council
  • Police
  • Health Authorities
  • Courts
  • Housing Associations
  • Community groups
  • Voluntary sector organisations.

Take Part Exeter is part of the national Take Part Network which was created to promote the 'Active Learning for Active Citizenship' learning system.

The project will be funded until 2011 by the Communities and Local Government Department as part of its Community Engagement strategy, Communities in Control.

Take Part is also represented on the Regional Empowerment Partnership.



Creating new partnerships to involve underrepresented groups in civic roles

As a result of the Pathfinder remit to extend civic roles to a wider range of people, we have initiated a new working relationship with the Magistracy.
