Voting and Elections

tp-ballot-boxThe General Election has been announced for 6th May 2010.  With voting figures falling since 1997, it's never been more important to make a stand and have your say.

The result of the election can have a dramatic effect on your life - it may change your income by thousands of pounds a year, and it can greatly affect the public services you rely on.

Take Part Exeter has prepared a How-To guide to Elections and Voting, as well as several pages of guidance here:

How do I vote? Explaining how to cast your vote, and understanding what your vote means in different (local and national) elections.

Who should I vote for? Advice and online tools to help you work out which candidates best reflect your personal view.

What else can I do? If you find none of the voting options available suit you, there is still action you can take to reform democracy in your area and nationally.  We outline some of the options here.
